Memorial Day Weekend Vacay

Since I haven't updated this in awhile I thought it might be time... I spent the long weekend with a bunch of friends in Chelan, Washington right on the beautiful lake - followed by a day in {even better} Seattle & Bellevue. Nothing like the Pacific Northwest in the Spring!
Nothing like a vacay with a handful of your favorite friends & ridiculous amounts of barbequing... :) What did you all do for the long weekend?

Outdoor Daytime Drinking Season?

Came across this today and could not help but share it immediately. One of the reasons I {and many others} adore this city so much is that there is never a shortage of things to do. While drinking is not necessarily the healthiest of options, it does usually lead to an epic afternoon of fun in the sun.

I am particularly looking forward to these:
  • May 01 — Opening Day on the Bay
  • May 05 — Cinco de Mayo
  • May 14 — O'Reilly's Oyster & Beer Festival
  • May 15 — Bay to Breakers
  • May 29 — Muir Beach Fireman's BBQ*
  • June 4 & 5 — Union Street Festival
  • July 14 — Bastille Day {Aventine Block Party}
  • June 18 & 19 — North Beach Neighborhood Festival
  • August 12, 13 & 14 — Outside Land Music Festival
  • September 17 — North Beach Bar Run
  • September 22 - 25 — Oktoberfest by the Bay
  • October 1 — LovEvolution {wasn't this canceled?}
  • October 6 - 10 — Fleet Week!
*I actually have no idea what Muir Beach Fireman's Barbecue is but I like Muir Beach & I like firemen so I figured it deserved a spot on the list.

Basically, if you don't live here, I would definitely suggest a visit. :)

Epic Weekend

This weekend was definitely one of those weekends that I feel so incredibly blessed to live where I do... Spent all of Saturday on my roof in the sun with a bunch of friends, & then continued the party all day Sunday at the Tourist Club in the middle of the woods {if you haven't been & you live in the bay, you have to go - more info here}.

Most fun I have had in the city in a long time! Also found a new liking for taking pics out the sunroof of a moving car... As seen above ;)

I hope everyone have a lovely weekend & got to enjoy the sunshine — especially if you are in the bay.

Random Thoughts for the Day

As the longest week I can ever remember having comes to an end, I thought I'd keep it simple and post something similar to the advice post that everyone seemed to enjoy so much.  Random thoughts for the day...

  1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
  2. Nothing sucks more than the moment during an argument that you realize you're wrong.
  3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
  4. There is a great need for a sarcasm font.
  5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
  6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
  7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5... I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
  8. Obituaries would be alot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
  9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
  10. Bad decisions make good stories.
  11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
  12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection... again.
  13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
  14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will not wash this -- ever.
  15. I hate it when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Dang it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail.  What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run?
  16. I hate leaving the house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day.  What. A. Waste.
  17. I keep some people's numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
  18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well...
  19. I disagree with Kay Jewelers.  I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Bud Light or a Margarita than Kay.
 Major emphasis on numbers 4, 7, 10, 13, 15, & 19... Which do you agree with most?
